Welcome back to the BUZZ Roundup – a quick update of anything that’s changed on our village website recently and a reminder of events coming up soon.
The minutes from the last Parish Council meeting are now available, and the results of the Apple Press survey will be published in the next (April) edition of the Village News: of the 24 responses, all but 2 thought Keevil didn’t need an apple press and everyone was happy to sell the old press. Results on the village website shortly, watch this space!
Coming up…
- Saturday 30th March: our annual ‘litter pick’, part of the Great British Spring Clean, always yields an incredible amount of (sometimes very strange) rubbish deposited on our lovely verges – if you can spare a couple of hours and help with a spot of litter-picking around the village, do join us, we promise it’s more fun than it sounds! – details here, meet at the village hall 9.30am.
- The walking group have plenty in the pipeline – from Suzanne’s rescheduled yomp around Box on Monday, to Isobel’s ramble around Horningsham & Longleat on 25th April. Details also now on website for the inaugural Keevil Bimblers bimble in May…
- Just a quick forward note for your diary… Keevil Primary School will be holding a service in St Leonards church on Tuesday 21st May at 2pm, to celebrate their 150 years birthday! All Keevil residents are invited to attend.
Planning
Tomorrow is the planning meeting of the Parish Council to discuss the application for the storage sheds on the Main Street side of the playground at Keevil School. Members of the public can make their comments in public forum at the start, and then observe the rest of the meeting and councillors discussions. Details below or on the Planning page.
- Saturday 23rd March 9.30am: Planning Application 19/01975/FUL
at Keevil Church Of England Primary School, Main Street for a
5 year temporary planning permission for 3 external storage sheds. Agenda: Planning Meeting Agenda School. Download application plans and documents here.
That’s all for now folks! Keep spreading the word with your family, friends and neighbours to FOLLOW THE BUZZ too!
