Free emergency poop bag scheme…

Having discussed the effectiveness of the scheme in Steeple Ashton, we started our own scheme here in Keevil in April 2024. The Parish Council supports with funds for the provision of poop bags, and there are now seven dispensers deployed:

  1. By the waste bin next to the Recreation Ground;
  2. On the waste bin next to the bus stop opposite Field Head on Main Street;
  3. On the 30mph sign on Main Street opposite the school;
  4. On the waste bin on Towmead Lane;
  5. At the end of Martins Lane;
  6. At the end of Butts Lane;
  7. The gate behind the Church.

Please only take one or two bags at a time. They are there in case you have forgotten your own when you set out to walk your dog, so please avoid the temptation to remove the whole roll – yes, this does seem to happen from time to time!

At the 2026 Community Meeting (minutes here) it was agreed to keep the scheme going, however, we will be monitoring usage closely… the table below shows the last-filled dates:
