Anyone who may wish to join, or to enquire about anything, please contact Colin Dimbylow, who has now taken over the reins from Pat, ably supported by Molly Lowe . Keevil Art group did manage to meet, socially distanced and all COVID restrictions in place, on Wednesday 4th November 2020. The hall was ready to accommodate a maximum of 16. Those who came were pleased to meet after a break of nearly 8 months. And then lockdown was imposed again! The hall is closed indefinitely, but we wanted to show you it is possible for small groups to meet safely, when allowed.
Keevil Art Show: May 2019
Once again the Art Show was a huge success, with over £715 raised for the Tulip Fund in the name of the late Dr Neil Jones, for Dorothy House Hospice Care. A huge thank you to everyone who took part, from those who helped to set up the displays, the bouncers on the doors and helpers in the kitchen, to those who displayed their artwork.
“We were so pleased with the response” said Pat Tucker, “thank you everyone! The whole Art Group turned out to help, and there was a great friendly atmosphere all day.”
Helen Jones, whose late husband Neil was GP to many in the village, added: “On behalf of the Jones family I’d like to thank Pat and the Art Group for all their hard work organising such a splendid exhibition and raising so much for Dorothy House. It shows how much talent there is in Keevil and we were very touched it was held in Neil’s memory.”

We had a full house last week (20th March 2019) – plenty of super work being carried out.
Heale Gardens Outing 2018
We all enjoyed a day out to Heale Gardens near Salisbury recently, with a pleasant couple of hours spent in deep thought and concentration, and then a lovely lunch in their gardens. You may be able to see the fruits of our labours at the next Art Exibition! Photos: Pat Tucker
The Keevil Art Show, September 2017
A massive thank you to so many of our villagers, friends and relatives who took part by displaying their art work, helping with the displays, making cakes and acting as ‘bouncers’ on the door! We were a little apprehensive but nevertheless determined to create an atmosphere that all could enjoy – and we think it worked. John Duckworth’s family were very grateful for everyone’s efforts, and appreciate that the £565 raised will be paid into a fund, in his name, to assist with the maintenance of the organ in St. Leonard’s Church.

About the Art Group
The Art Group was originally started in March 2012 by Andrew Seymour. The intention was for like minded people to be together and enjoy exchanging ideas and experiences of various forms of art. In 2014 Andrew moved away and Pat Tucker volunteered to take over.
Pat hastens to add “that meant I open the door, put the tables up and made the coffee!
We are of varying abilities, and work in different mediums. However, four years on, we are a thriving group of art loving enthusiasts, with a full complement of attendees. We have a demonstrator about once a year; go on an outside expedition to enjoy a building, or a garden, and usually gather for a Christmas lunch.”
The group had very successful and well attended exhibitions in September 2017 and May 2019.
