2022-23 Diary Dates!

See the Church Diary page for Christmas services in church…

The annual Christmas-themed Church Coffee Morning is back this year, in the village hall from 10am – 12noon: Coffee and mince pies, raffle and much more, raising money for the upkeep and day-to-day running of St Leonard’s Church

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTS: Saturday 10th December 2022

The lights on the Christmas tree outside the village hall will be switched on at 5.30pm. There will be singing of carols, and a glass of mulled wine and mince pies in the Hall afterwards. The time has been set early so that children can come along and also see their works of art on the tree. Donations for refreshments will be given to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

A special Christmas Breakfast which will, naturally, feature all your favourite Christmas Carols, and some of the more popular Christmas songs, to get you fully charged for the season! We will be offering our usual Bacon or Sausage rolls with tea or coffee, but in addition we will have mulled wine and a mince pie to add to your breakfast treat. All for £3.00 per head (all profits go to the Church Restoration Fund).

So, don your Christmas jumpers, your reindeer antlers, Christmas pudding earrings, and anything else seasonal, and come along and join us for breakfast and a good old fashioned Christmas carol sing-a-long. We will start the event slightly later, and run from 9.30 until 11.30am – no need to book, just come along and enjoy!

CAROL SINGING AROUND THE VILLAGE: Tuesday 20th December 2022

Carol singers are invited to assemble outside the Village Hall at 6pm on Tuesday 20th December, from where we set off on our annual carol singing adventure round the village. The walk will not be too long, stopping at most of the usual places.

No collections are made and families, children and adults are most welcome to come along. A torch will be useful 🙂

NEW YEARS EVE PARTY Saturday 31st December 2022
The village hall has been booked for New Years Eve so those of you who want to, can come along and join in with other villagers to see in the year of 2023. Bring your own food and drink, we will supply music and merriment.
With there being limited numbers we would be grateful if you could book a space. Call Bob Ayres 871541 or Geoff West 870425. Donations would be gratefully received to cover the hall rental
SOUP AND PUD LUNCH: Saturday 14th January 2023, 12 – 2pm

What more do you need to lift your spirits on a cold January morning? Come and warm the cockles of your heart with friends and neighbours at the New Years Soup & Pudding lunch in the Village Hall from mid-day until 2pm on Saturday 14th January, with a nice hot bowl of homemade soup (with a bread roll and butter) and a tasty pudding, all washed down with a tea or coffee, for the bargain price of £5.00 per head (all profits go to the Church Restoration Fund).
