This teddy-tastic event is back! With a new name – SUMMER AT St LEONARD’S – on Saturday 4th July 2026 – tower trips, teddies, teas and stalls at St Leonard’s Church from 2–4pm.
All are very welcome to come to our fabulous summer event! There will be stalls, teas, picnic basket raffle and much more! Something for all ages to enjoy.
Don’t forget to bring along your teddy or other soft cuddly for the ride of their lives on the zipline from the church tower. Further details will appear in the June magazine.

Summer event in July 2024…
The wind blew but the rain stayed away for our afternoon of fun. A big thank you to everyone who supported the event in any way.
My sincere thanks to Caroline, Patrick, Dotty, Sarah and Neil for helping with the teddy zip wire, harnessing bears, monkeys, lambs, frogs, penguins, giraffes, Spiderman, a unicorn, sheep, cat and even a flamingo – over 40 in all and each receiving their own certificate of bravery which had been designed especially for us by Shez. My grateful thanks to Tori for making our faces look special with her talented facepainting. I loved my teddy bear face! Many thanks to our granddaughter, Livvie and her friend Megan for their kind donation having sold their beautifully and lovingly made bracelets.
Our donations and raffles raised the magnificent sum of £602.84 and after selling the rest of the flower “raffle” boxes at Breakfast in Church plus another donation, the total amount raised is now standing at £642.84! all of which will help towards the costs of roof repairs for our beautiful church of St Leonard.
David Wareing won the 🌼 draw with Crocus as the winning flower: a great, fun afternoon, which was so very well supported. It was absolutely heartwarming to see everyone enjoying themselves – the church was buzzing!
