What a huge privilege it was for we locals to be on our beloved airfield getting up close and personal wth the incredible A400M Atlas and her crew. It was disappointing the other aircraft were called on duty but we were grateful to all the team for staying with us till absolutely everyone had had a chance to visit the flight deck.

Thanks also to the lovely Fire & Rescue lads who let us on their lawn to watch the Atlas take off properly, and to the ambulance crews too who stayed on duty right the way through.
