Welcome back to the BUZZ Roundup – keeping you in touch with seasonal happenings in Keevil village whatever the weather… 

What a terrific night at this year’s Harvest supper! Thanks a million to all the organisers and contributors (not least our local farmers), we loved it all but cream of the crop was definitely the old video footage of skits in times past, even more special seeing some of our dearly loved villagers no longer with us! A few photos from the evening will go up shortly. And while we’re talking harvest, have you seen the gorgeous flower arrangements up at the church? Well worth swinging by as you take your constitutional… 🙂

Coming up…

• This Thursday 1st October 7:30pm in the village hall – there are plenty of spaces left on the Emergency training so if you’ve been holding back – just come along! An hours’ refresher will pay dividends in an emergency so well worth the time spent;
• Monday 5th October the Mobile Library is back at Stocks Green 10.35 – 10.55 outside Rose & Crown Cottages;
• And at 8:30pm the Parish Council will hold a short Extraordinary meeting – the agenda will be here. The next Ordinary Meeting will be Monday 2nd November, starting at 7pm with a presentation and Q&A by Wiltshire Council’s winter resilience team;
• Tuesday 6th October its time for 1st Tuesday Teas 2.30-4pm in the village hall with tea, cake, and conversation with friends and neighbours;
• Saturday 10th October the fabulous Breakfast at the Church is back 9-11am – come enjoy a cuppa and a butty!
• Thursday 22nd October 5pm its the Parish News deadline for November edition;
• Wednesday 28th October Colin Dimbylow has a lovely walk around the Whitley countryside planned, with lunch at the Pear Tree Inn – all deets on the Walking Group page;
• Saturday 31st October its time for the annual WI AUTUMN TEA 2.30pm-4.30pm in the village hall;

And finally… 

Following the sad news of the death of Pam Leak, her daughter Katie asked us to publish the funeral details, which will take place at Semington Crematorium, 10.30am on Friday 16th of October, followed by food and drinks at Pam’s favourite pub the Methuen Arms in Corsham. All welcome.
