Welcome back to the BUZZ Roundup – keeping you in touch with seasonal happenings in Keevil village whatever the weather…
First, a reminder there will be no service at St Leonards this week, Sunday 16th August – however, there is a joint benefice service at Trowbridge St James at 10:45am, to which all are welcome! Our bell-ringers also regularly support each other – we have such a lovely beneficial (see what I did there, lol) relationship between our churches!
Coming up…

- 1st Tuesday Teas will be back after a summer break on 1st September 2.30pm in the village hall with tea, cake, and fabulous conversation with friends and neighbours;
- And there’s the performance of ORGAN MUSIC at the Church on Friday 4th September 7pm, with all donations going to the roof repair fund – full deets in your Parish News.
- The Mobile Library is back Monday 7th September 10.35 – 10.55 outside Rose & Crown Cottages at Stocks Green;

Parish Matters
Just a brief note about the poop bag scheme run by the Parish Council, which residents voted to continue at the Annual Parish Community meeting in May. The page on the village website now carries a tally of how often we are filling up the dispensers, which will give us all better information when we review it again next year…
Would you like to join the Parish Council?
It doesn’t matter if you have no experience – training is available. What matters is that you care about our village life, and are engaged in some small way with our community. To stand for co-option, read the information at keevilparishcouncil.gov.uk/get-involved, fill in the application form, and send it to the Clerk. That’s it. We’d love to hear from you!
And finally…
WI News from Rachel and Mary, who are now the programme organisers… the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust are pencilled in for Wednesday 8th September 2027 at 8 pm, but in the meantime, their excellent Little Book of Big Scams is available on the village website here.
That’s all for now folks! Find us on Facebook for real-time discussions on Keevil Village, marketplace on For Sale, Free or Wanted in Keevil, or wander down memory lane on Keevil Memories…
Thank you for all your support, and if you have any news, pictures or stories to share, don’t hesitate to get in touch
