Welcome back to the BUZZ Roundup – keeping you in touch with village matters during these extraordinary times. And happy 50th to us! Yes, this is the 50th edition of Buzz Roundup {{blows trumpet}} – sorry we can’t have a party! 😉
I know it’s only Tuesday, but Foodbank Friday will be here before you know it! Janet goes on Friday morning, so if you have anything you can spare, pop your donations in the box in the church porch ideally by Thursday afternoon – we hear tinned vegetables and toothpaste are in very short supply at the moment and would be greatly appreciated!
In other village news…
- Sadly, due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic and the continuing high alert state it, the Fun Committee have decided to cancel this year’s Music at the Manor. However, to mark VE Day 75 + 1, Music@Manor21 will be on Saturday 10th July 2021, with the Salisbury Big Band performing. More details will, of course, follow nearer the time.
- From this week, you MUST pre-book a slot to visit a household recycling centre (HRC), in Wiltshire – you can do this up to three days in advance. You will need to create an account on the site – all FAQs (do read them!) and links to booking system here
- Need a Father’s Day card? Rachel Howe still has some left that were donated for the Church Fete, all proceeds of course go to St Leonard’s Church funds. She will leave them on the white bench outside Little Martins, 69a Martins Road every day until Saturday 20th June (Father’s Day is 21st) 10 am – 5 pm, providing it’s not raining, or until they’re all sold.
- We’ve added the following to the list of links to Government Guidance on the COVID-19 page:
And finally…
Summer is practically here, and if you fancy getting out and about a little more, Penny Roberts has a lady’s bycycle she’d like to say goodbye to – it’s a modern style but needs new tyres. Call her on 870448 if you’re interested…
Over and out for now – if you have any news, pictures or stories to share, don’t hesitate to get in touch
