Thanks to Pat Tucker for alerting Buzz to the road being closed from the Great Hinton crossroads to the A350 – anyone heading out that way intending to join the A350 will need to divert. According to the notice below, this could be in place till the end of the week.

Wiltshire Council’s website shows the following road closure notice:
Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Urgent Closure of: Cold Harbour, Great Hinton, Trowbridge
WILTSHIRE COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that on 2 March 2021, the following length of road shall be closed to all
traffic in the interests of public safety to enable BT to carry out an emergency cable renewal to restore customer
service.
Cold Harbour, Great Hinton, Trowbridge; from its junction with Back Lane for 220m in Westerly direction.
Alternative route: via Cold Harbour, Common Hill, Hinton Lane and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. Access will be maintained for
residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
These works will commence on 2 March 2021 and are anticipated to be required for 3 days between the hours of
08:00 and 16:00. This Notice will have a maximum duration of 5 days.
