Welcome back to the BUZZ Roundup – a quick update of anything that’s changed on our village website recently and a reminder of events coming up soon.
Well, only a week to go till Christmas, and the village has been literally buzzing with activity! Thanks to everyone who came along to the Christmas Shopping Evening and supported us by buying Christmas cards and tiles, all with Bob’s lovely images; we really appreciate your support.
There are still a few packs of cards left so if you need a few last minute, give Sarah a ring on 871729 – £5 for 4, £10 for 8.
The Advent Window Trail organised by Janice Maskrey and the WI is proving great fun, what a lovely tradition to have started in the village! Do send us any photos you have, we’ll put together a gallery for all to enjoy. Make sure you have the latest list, there were a couple of last minute changes.
Coming up…
- Carol singing around the village this Friday 21st December, meet in the Church at 6.45pm for a sharpener or join in at any point on the way round.
- Belshazzar’s Feast Two Wise Men tour comes to the village hall on Saturday 22nd, and it’s a sellout, so if you have tickets but cannot make it let Judy or Paul know as they have a waiting list…
- And don’t forget the next Keevil Ramblers walk on 9th January, Geoff West has a super stroll planned along the Bedwyn Brail, perfect for working off all those mince pies! A very do-able 5 1/2 miles with lunch at The Swan in Wilton afterwards.
Christmas & New Year Rubbish Collection
- Week commencing 24th December: collection on Thursday 27th (black box and household waste)
- Week commencing 31st December: collection on Thursday 3rd January (plastic/cardboard). There will be NO green bin collection on Fri 4th
- Week commencing 7th January: collection on Wednesday 9th January (black box and household waste)
Planning
Application 18/09517/FUL to convert the redundant farm building at the far end of Main Street (towards Bulkington) to a two-bedroom holiday let has been APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS
Don’t forget the next Parish Council Meeting on Monday 7th January in the village hall, starting at 7.30pm. The draft minutes for the last meeting are available here; we will publish the agenda as soon as we have it.
And finally…
We could not possibly close without a huge WELL DONE to Joe Sugg making it to the final of Strictly – he was awesome, what a journey he’s had, we are all so proud!! He might not have brought the Glitter Ball home but Mama Sugg sparkled magnificently! 🙂 🙂
That’s all for now folks! Have a fantastic Christmas and THANK YOU for all your support – it’s been a great year here on keevilvillage.com and we still have so much more we want to do. Fancy getting involved? Get in touch! And keep spreading the word with your family, friends and neighbours to FOLLOW THE BUZZ too!
