BUZZ ROUNDUP

BEEWelcome back to the BUZZ Roundup – a quick update of anything that’s changed on our village website recently and a reminder of events coming up soon.

Happy New Year everyone! We hope you had a lovely Christmas – and if you were dancing your socks off in the village hall as we were on New Years Eve, we KNOW you had a great time welcoming in 2019! Thank you so much Janet and the team for organising a fabulous evening.

The Advent Window Trail was great fun, we have a gallery currently on the WI page of all the windows we could find lit when we went out with the camera. Thanks to Janice Maskrey and the WI for organising, and do send us any photos if you want us to add them.

We also loved Belshazzar’s Feast’s tremendous performance to a packed village hall, a real Christmas treat – gallery of images now live

The summer seems a long way off in these freezing temperatures BUT if you want to join the trip to the Bristol Hippodrome in July to see the award-winning CALENDAR GIRLS – THE MUSICAL, then get in touch with Rachel Howe as soon as you can. The final deadline for booking and payment is Friday 15th February! Details on the Theatre Group page

Coming up…

  • The next Parish Council Meeting is this coming Monday 7th January in the village hall, starting at 7.30pm sharp. The Agenda, and the draft minutes for the last meeting, are available here. If you wish to comment on anything happening in Keevil, you can share thoughts and suggestions during the public consultation at the beginning of the meeting, and also stay to listen to the considerations of concillors throughout the meeting itself.
  •  Tea & Chat Tuesday 8th January from 2.30pm in the village hall – catch up with friends and neighbours over cake – and pop in to the Post Office too if you need to.
  • And don’t forget the Keevil Ramblers walk on 9th January, Geoff West is leading a very do-able 5 1/2 mile stroll along the Bedwyn Brail, with lunch at The Swan in Wilton afterwards.Do contact Geoff if you haven’t already, to let him know you’re coming.

New Year Rubbish Collection

Week commencing 7th January: collection on Wednesday 9th January (black box and household waste) – then we’re all back to normal.

That’s all for now folks! Once again, Happy New Year, and keep spreading the word with your family, friends and neighbours to FOLLOW THE BUZZ too!
