I think I should have named this the Keevil WI NoNewsLetter! We have all been through a very strange time and emerged into a very different world. We will not be having a meeting in August and will have to wait for advice before we confirm the September meeting.
I hope we will be able to resume full service as soon as possible but the main message is to stay safe so we will keep in touch by email or phone call until we can meet safely ….. we do have a committee meeting at the end of July so we may be able to come up with virtual WI.

Keevil WI will not be holding their meeting on Wednesday 8th of April due to coronavirus. We had hoped to hold an afternoon of tea, cake and memorabilia to commemorate V.E. Day on May 9th but this has been postponed until further notice.
Our AGM was held on March 11th in the village hall followed by a discussion about climate change and several green hearts were made and put on the notice board. We also discussed the possibility of making small differences in our everyday lives by using greener cleaning products and trying “old fashioned” ways of cleaning.
The village is going to be very quiet for a few weeks and opportunities for socialising will be sadly missed, please look out for people who might be feeling lonely or people who may need some help during this time.
Take care Keevil

Happy New Year and a huge thank you to everyone who decorated an Advent Window at Christmas, our pretty village looked wonderful with all the twinkly lights and I hope everyone enjoyed them, if anyone didn’t manage to see them all then there are some brilliant photos over in the Gallery pages. I think we have now established a village tradition and it will be repeated this year, if anyone has any comments or suggestions please get in touch.
Our January meeting was a fish and chip supper and a showing of The Greatest Showman in the village hall, a great way to brighten these grey January days.
The February meeting is to be held in the hall on Wednesday 12th at 7.30pm. We have a speaker who is going to give a talk on the secrets of handwriting.
