ADVENT TRAIL AND LIGHTS 2020
Three years ago our WI initiated and organised an Advent Trail, and we have seen some beautiful and hugely creative windows – the 2020 lights and trail was especially spectacular, coming on the back of such a challenging year, the way the village lit up looked fantastic.
Sarah went out on Christmas Eve to photograph as many of the windows as she could find – it was lovely being able to hear the Carol Singers who were also trekking around the village belting out traditional tunes at the tops of their voices, made it feel like a proper Christmas! We certainly have more photos of lights and windows than ever this year, although she did still miss a few… “with apologies, I didn’t make it round to Wick Lane for number 13, and not sure whether I found #5 at Pyatts Corner, or #18 on Butts Lane – possibly I just couldn’t see the number. Also Martins Farmhouse (#9) and some of Hobbs Hill – I didn’t get all the lights as had wrong lens for wide angle!” So if anyone wants to send us more pictures, fire away – deets here.”
