Welcome back to the BUZZ Roundup – a quick update of anything that’s changed on our village website recently and a reminder of events coming up soon.
Pictures from this years Harvest Supper are now live on the website, plus details of the Drama Groups forthcoming production OUTSIDE EDGE , Rachel’s Christmas Shopping Evening, and Belshazzar’s Feast Two Wise Men show are all now available – all hugely popular so make sure you don’t miss out!

Even more important, don’t forget it’s PUB NIGHT in the village hall this Friday 12th October – an informal and relaxing evening for everyone. No tickets required, just come and enjoy, from 7pm. Free ploughmans with your first drink!
Don’t forget…
- The Mobile Library is back outside the Rose & Crown cottages at 10.35am on Monday.
- The deadline for articles for Novembers Parish News is next Thursday
- Paul and John lead a ramble from Poulshot on 23rd October– see the Walking page for details.
- The next Parish Council meeting is Monday 5th November at 7.30pm sharp in the village hall. There is always a chance to share thoughts and suggestions during the public consultation, and very interesting to listen to the considerations of concillors throughout the meeting itself.
Planning
There is a planning meeting of Keevil Parish Council this Saturday 13th October at 9.30am, at Orchard House, 72A Martins Road, to discuss the application 18/08945/FUL: a garage conversion to accommodation & single storey rear extension. Members of the public are welcome to come and observe and/or express their views. Further links and details on the planning page
The application 18/07717/FUL on Land at Martins Road (behind the recently refurbished terraced cottages), for a 3 bedroom house with associated double garage, garden, driveway and access in what was originally the garden of the cottages, has some additional letters of representation and other correspondence on the portal, and the consultation period appears to have been extended to the end of this week, according this document. So if you have comments to make regarding this proposal, there should still be opportunity to do online here
And finally…
A quick thanks to Paul and Ian for all the apple-pressing in Paul’s garage last Saturday. If you still have apples, don’t forget you can take them to the chap that supplies the Village Shop in Steeple Ashton, details here.
That’s all for now. Do encourage your family, friends and neighbours to FOLLOW THE BUZZ too!
