Welcome back to the BUZZ Roundup – keeping you in touch with happenings in Keevil village come rain or shine…
Apologies for the radio silence folks, it’s been a bit busy here in the ‘hood – but what an amazing, unforgettable five days of events in commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of D-Day we’ve had – so many villagers, friends and neighbours from all around enjoyed the Airfield Display, visited the Exhibition, listened to St Leonard’s bells ring out, had a pint at The Local and joined the Procession of Light, grooved at the Dance Night, ran it off at the Airfield Games Day, had a jam sandwich at the Picnic, and rounded it all off with a lovely Sunday Service – not forgetting the moving books of poems and pictures created by the children of Keevil School… a massive Keevilian-size thank you to everyone involved, it was truly special.
There were many beautiful, humbling moments of reconnection with our history and one another, from the fellow from Northampton whose father flew an SAS mission from Keevil who came to the exhibition and walked the perimeter airstrip in memory of his dad, to the stories of villagers families who’d played a part, and the delightful chap from Yarnbrook who came to every single happening…
So, we’re going to create a commemorative KEEVIL DD80 photo album of photographs taken at all the events as well as everything from the exhibition – and we’d love to hear of any stories you have to tell from last week, and any photographs you’d like to share – email Sarah on callymosh@yahoo.co.uk.
In the meantime, have you spotted all 22 differences on the Spot The Difference yet? Despite several hours pouring over the centre spread of the Parish News, I can only get to a possible 20….!

Love to get these stories. Has anyone there followed the activities of the Keevil’s who mysteriously disappeared years ago, and why a few of us enjoy these news reports
