A late addition to the Christmas Calendar! Everyone is welcome to join in our traditional Carol Singing around the Village on Tuesday 23rd December – meet 6pm at St Leonard’s Church, and don’t forget a torch!

We have 6 places left on the free Emergency Awareness training arranged for Tuesday 16th December at 7:30pm in the village hall … if you’d like to come, contact Sarah Dow…

Still on the Christmas List
  • It’s time for the last Pub Night of the year! The George opens for Christmas PUB NIGHT tomorrow evening Friday 12th December from 6.30pm in the village hall: Three Daggers Real Ale, Lager, Cider and Wine, free soft drinks, free admission, and complimentary mince pies! Just rock up and settle in for a natter with friends – families and children welcome, traditional pub games available;
  • On Saturday morning, blow the cobwebs away with BREAKFAST at the CHURCH Christmas Special Saturday 13th December 9-11am in St Leonard’s, come enjoy a special Christmas Breakfast with the usual bacon or sausage rolls plus tea or coffee, only £3 a head (no need to book), all profits to the Church Restoration Fund;
  • Don’t forget the Carol Singing around the Village on Tuesday 23rd December, meet 6pm at St Leonard’s;
  • The MOBILE LIBRARY will be back on 29th December 10.35 – 10.55 outside Rose & Crown Cottages at Stocks Green.
and coming up in January…
  • The next PARISH COUNCIL Meeting will be Monday 5th January 2026, when the next financial year’s budget, and setting the Precept will be key agenda items;
  • FIRST TUESDAY of 2026! Come along and welcome the New Year with a great cuppa, fabulous cake, and good company on Tuesday 6th January 2.30-4pm in the village hall;
  • Saturday 17th January it’s the annual WINTER WARMER COFFEE MORNING from 10am – 12 noon in the village hall; £5 gets you all the tea, coffee and cake you can manage, plus there’s a Bring’n’Buy stall, a Craft Table for children, and of course a raffle. Raising funds for St Leonard’s Church flowers;
  • Thursday 22nd January it’ll be the next deadline for the February PARISH NEWS;
  • And back for 2026, the sooperlicious SOUP & PUD LUNCH is Saturday 31st January from 12 noon in the village hall, with homemade soups and puddings plus tea or coffee (also BYO drinks). £12.50 per head, profits to the Church Restoration Fund, tickets from Geoff West. Don’t forget cash for the raffle!

Sunday 14th December – Christingle family service at 3.30pm
Monday 22nd December – Carol Service with lessons, carols and the Keevil Singers, 6.30pm
Wednesday 24th December – Christmas Eve Midnight-in-Bethlehem Holy Communion at 10pm
Thursday 25th December – Christmas Day Service followed by a short Holy Communion, 9.15am
Sunday 28th December – Joint Benefice Service 10.45am at Trowbridge St James
