Welcome back to the BUZZ Roundup – keeping you in touch with happenings in Keevil village whatever the weather… 

First, an  announcement from the Churchwardens:

On Monday 20th October and for two weeks thereafter, St Leonard’s Church will be closed to visitors whilst essential maintenance is carried out in the Church. However, Services will still go ahead as planned on Sunday 26th October 18:30 and Sunday 2nd November at 09:15.

If you have any questions about this closure, please contact one of the Churchwardens – Gill Gosling on 01380 870553 or Debbie Meatyard on 07954 117515.

Coming up…
  • On Thursday 23rd October at 7.30pm the Village Hall Committee will meet and discuss disabled parking alongside the hall. Residents are welcome to attend, and if you regularly park near the village hall or on Martins Road, this meeting may be of particular interest to you;
  • Deadline for November’s PARISH NEWS is Thursday 23rd October at 5pm;
  • Autumn is definitely in the air, so we’re looking forward to the WI Afternoon Tea on Saturday 25th October 2.30-4.30pm in the village hall – and don’t forget your carved pumpkin for the competition!
  • Saturday 1st November it’s time for the annual Quiz & Fish & Chip Supper Night at 7pm in the village hall so if you’re not already booked make sure you bag a ticket;
  • The MOBILE LIBRARY returns on Monday 3rd November 10.35 – 10.55 outside Rose & Crown Cottages;
  • The next Parish Council meeting is Monday 3rd November at 7.30pm in the village hall – everyone is very welcome, agenda and papers will be here
  • There’ll be a good cuppa and more fabulous cake at 1st TUESDAY TEAS on Tuesday 4th November 2.30-4pm in the village hall – the Post Office will be back open again after being closed on 21st & 28th October;
  • Look out for Pat’s fabulous COME DINE ON CHEESE AND WINE on Saturday 8th November 7pm at Willow House, raising funds for W&BAA, please contact Pat for tickets 01380 871601 and don’t forget cash for the raffle!
  • Friday 14th November St Leonard’s will be RAISING funds for THE ROOF!! and another unforgettable concert with ANDREW RUMSEY – tickets available on the door but ideally in advance please, contact Rachel;
  • The next WALKING GROUP walk is planned for Wednesday 26th November so save the date, deets will be available here shortly;
