Just received from the Airfield Manager:
Keevil Airfield will be active this week supporting a commercial contract leased by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) which will see numerous vehicles operating at Middle Wallop for a media event from 21 – 24 Jul 2025.
The activity will be contained within the boundaries of Keevil Aerodrome and it is hoped that there will be little to no impact on the local communities. However, due to the nature of the activity (vehicle operations) it is expected there will be an increase in the vehicle noise normally attributable to the airfield, for which I can only apologise.
Rest assured activities like this are conducted under strict license provision from the DIO and does not signal the return of regular vehicle events at Keevil, this is not something I as the Airfield Manager support. It should be considered a ‘one off’ and a demonstration of DIO’s commitment to continue to recoup where possible value back into public purse
