BUZZ ROUNDUP

Welcome back to the BUZZ Roundup – keeping you in touch with happenings in Keevil village come Christmas rain or shine…

First, do not miss out on your last chance for a bacon or sausage butty before Christmas! Breakfast in Church is back on Saturday morning (yes that’s probably today by now) from 9-11am, I expect there will be a festive twist, so don your silly santa hats and come along for a bap and a chat, all the profits go to our Church Restoration Fund and time spent with village friends is always a great way to pass an hour or so 🙂

Parish Matters

The next Ordinary Meeting will be Monday 6th January 2025, when S137 donations, the next financial year’s budget, and setting the Precept will be key agenda items.

In other news, the Parish Council has a new domain name! In line with the latest guidance and regulatory changes for smaller authorities, the Parish Council applied to the Central Digital & Data Office (CDDO) who had set up a small fund to help Parish Councils own and operate a .gov.uk domain. You can find everything in place in its new home at KEEVILPARISHCOUNCIL.GOV.UK, including councillors new email addresses here. We’ll be keeping the old address for a while so any emails sent there will be redirected.

And a quick reminder about bin collection changes over Christmas and New Year – pop your postcode in here to check the dates for your property…

And finally…

Well, two ‘finallies’ really – a big thank you to Andie who has been busy on the site creating a new section for poop bags here, and updating the WI recipe page here, and to Joni who keeps things ticking over behind the scenes 🙂

Plus…. A Royal Invitation!

Well there’s something to shout about – Keevil’s Choir Leader Denise Drew recently had the honour of being invited to join the the Royal Carol Service at Westminster Abbey! Here are some photos of her amazing, memorable day… apparently the Christmas trees are some of many inside the abbey donated by King Charles from the Royal Windsor Great Park estate. Well done Denise, and thank you for everything you do for our fabulous Keevil Singers
