BUZZ ROUNDUP

Welcome back to the BUZZ Roundup – keeping you in touch with happenings in Keevil village come rain or shine…

First, we’re thinking sausage and bacon! Breakfast in Church is back on Saturday morning (yes that’s probably now today) from 9-11am, do come along for a bap and a chat, all the profits go to our Church Restoration Fund and time spent with village friends is always a great way to pass an hour or so 🙂

And lets not forget our WI are holding their Autumn Afternoon Tea in the village hall on this Saturday afternoon from 2.30pm – plenty of fabulous cake to round off that breakfast, and only £4.50 for refillable teacups and cake plates. Proceeds from the afternoon will help us make a donation to Stepping Stones Trowbridge and to our own funds towards community events. Children are very welcome, there will be a cake decorating table where they can decorate their own Autumn cakes.

Parish Matters

The next Parish Council Meeting will be Monday 4th November in the village hall. Remember this meeting will start at the earlier time of 7pm so that residents can discuss matters relating to the Coronation Commemorative Plaque in an extended Public Forum – agenda will be here along with a briefing paper. Also at that meeting, Councillors will be discussing this years S137 donations and the next financial year’s budget, so whether as part of an established village group or you have a new village project in mind, send requests and suggestions to the Clerk by Friday October 25th – more at keevilpc.com/notices/

Also don’t forget to fill out the survey on the use of the Banfield Recreation Ground that came with your Parish News – deadline is 19th October, dropping off points in the magazine article.

And finally…

We were so sad to hear that Pat Carpenter died very recently. Barbara Lewendon has asked us on behalf of the family to pass on the funeral details:
Tuesday 5 November, 12:15pm at the Waterside Chapel, Westerleigh Crematorium, Westerleigh Rd, Bristol BS37 8QP, with the Wake at 1:15pm in The Rose & Crown, 68 Parkfield Road, Pucklechurch, Bristol BS16 9PS
If anyone is going to come can they let Tracy (Jim’s daughter) or Barbara know so numbers can be passed to Pat’s daughters.
