Welcome back to the BUZZ Roundup – keeping you in touch with happenings in Keevil village come rain or shine…
First up – have you signed up for the Safari Supper yet? We know it’s a way-away but Pat needs an idea of participants over the next few days so she can start working out the logistics – see your Parish News for info.
By the time you read this the rugby will be done and dusted for another year, but never mind that – what a cracking weekend in the village last Saturday! A superlicious Bangers & Mash lunch up at St Leonard’s, followed by (and we know we say this every year, lol) one of the best Folk Nights ever! Thanks a million to all the organising teams, you help make our village life amazing! See page links above for full galleries…
Looking forward to next weekend and the ANNUAL KEEVIL LITTER PICK on Saturday 23rd March starting from the village hall at 9.30am. We have hi-viz, picks, bags and hoops, but if you have your own hi-viz do bring, as well as gloves and wear stout boots/shoes. If the weather is awful, we’ll go home! Teams will be allocated a route and should have at least one mobile phone between them. See you there if you can make it!

Lots more details to be announced shortly, but we’re dead chuffed to have booked the fabulous HUMMINGBIRDS for our Fish & Chips & DANCE NIGHT on Friday 7th June! A professional close harmony trio, they will have us twisting, hopping and jiving the evening away! Here’s a little demo… ticket info coming soon, stay tuned!
Don’t forget Colin has an open call for WARTIME MEMORABILIA for an exhibition alongside a display of artwork by the Art Group in St Leonard’s… any wartime items – documents, photographs, clothing, hardware, models etc. that you’d be willing to lend for a few days. Colin will ensure everything is carefully catalogued and protected. If you think you can help, please contact Colin Dimbylow on 07783448783 or cdimbylow@btinternet.
And finally…

Our Community Shed is open to all residents of Keevil, both men and women, and we’re always looking for new members so if you are able to spare some time to help with village maintenance we’d love to hear from you 🙂 Although we’ve been keeping an eye on the surface water drains and ditches lately, the season of mowing the playing fields is virtually upon us, along with all the other stuff we get stuck into, from strimming the Main Street banks to clearing the ditches on the airfield boundary and all sorts in between.
You don’t have to commit to every week, just whenever you can spare a few hours, we generally meet Monday mornings at 9.30am… give Paul Lenaerts a shout if you’d like to know more: 01380 870186, 07855 887547 or paul@lenaerts.co.uk
That’s all for now folks – find us on Facebook for real-time discussions on Keevil Village, marketplace on For Sale, Free or Wanted in Keevil, or wander down memory lane on Keevil Memories… thank you for all your support, and if you have any news, pictures or stories to share, don’t hesitate to get in touch
