Held on Saturday 6th July 2024
The wind blew (and at the top of the Tower, it really blew!) but the rain stayed away for our afternoon of fun. A big thank you to everyone who supported the event in any way.
Special thanks to Michael Moore, our bell Tower Captain and his team of helpers, those who helped serve teas, made delicious cakes, donated raffle prizes, sold raffle tickets and flower squares, donated monies for the roof fund and for all who came along to the event.
My sincere thanks to Caroline, Patrick, Dotty, Sarah and Neil for helping with the teddy zip wire, harnessing bears, monkeys, lambs, frogs, penguins, giraffes, Spiderman, a unicorn, sheep, cat and even a flamingo – over 40 in all and each receiving their own certificate of bravery which had been designed especially for us by Shez. My grateful thanks to Tori for making our faces look special with her talented facepainting. I loved my teddy bear face! Many thanks to our granddaughter, Livvie and her friend Megan for their kind donation having sold their beautifully and lovingly made bracelets.
Our donations and raffles raised the magnificent sum of £602.84 and after selling the rest of the flower “raffle” boxes at Breakfast in Church plus another donation, the total amount raised is now standing at £642.84! all of which will help towards the costs of roof repairs for our beautiful church of St Leonard.
David Wareing won the 🌼 draw with Crocus as the winning flower: a great, fun afternoon, which was so very well supported. It was absolutely heartwarming to see everyone enjoying themselves – the church was buzzing! Here’s to the next time, which will probably be in the summer of 2026.

And here’s some of the fabulous views from the top of the Church Tower – blowy up there but perfect weather otherwise!
A Thank You …
I would like to thank Lindsey Hermon, Mrs Brown and all staff of Keevil School for giving me the opportunity to talk to the children at their assembly.
I had a fun time telling them about the event and hope that some of them will come along with their families on Saturday 6th July!
