Keevil’s first festival of footstomping local music and family entertainment was back in September 2025 with a truly mindblowing new lineup.

UPDATE Friday 5th September: well, what a week! No-one ever expects these things to run perfectly, but we’ve really had our hands full with schedule changes – and all we can say is thanks a million to everyone who’s helped us work around it! It goes without saying we’re sad The Frukes can’t join us – but you know what they say about clouds and our silver lining has us completely pumped – we absolutely cannot wait to welcome SWEET MACHINE and their synthpop dance to the stage!
Our vision for ROOTS 2025 is to bring together villagers of all ages and musical persuasions in a vibrant space that genuinely has something for everyone – our young adults, new residents, families, friends and those with a long history here can all find something to enjoy.
SEE here for activities, vendors and stalls – from storytelling, willow weaving, local art and a vintage tractor to coffee, street food, BBQ, cream teas and art exhibition in the village hall – believe us, we have some fabulous food and drink to keep you fuelled and fizzing all day and night! And let us not forget the secret stars of the show – the musical pupils of Keevil School who will be opening the festival!
GET INVOLVED! Would you like to perform, run a workshop, do some storytelling or entertain in some way that is uniquely yours? Then we’d love to hear from you! Could you offer support in others ways? We’re going to need volunteer stewards, runners and helpers of all sorts, from rattling donation buckets to helping people find their way around and everything in between. RAISING THE ROOTS
We’re funding Roots entirely by applying for grants, donations from local businesses and individuals, and lots of volunteer help – a BIG THANK YOU to our donors so far! We welcome support in any way at all, just give us a shout 🙂
We’ve also had several RAISING THE ROOTS events to help our fundraising along and ensure a foot-tapping-soul-soothing-head-banging-lip-smacking-funful festival…!!

That was a brilliant evening of crazy fun, thanks to everyone for getting into the spirit of things – and some amazing hats! (if there were prizes it’d definitely go to Izzy’s amazing creation – although, to be fair, David & Julie were in a class all of their own!!)

NEW YEAR’S EVE DINNER DANCE 2024
We kicked off our RAISING THE ROOTS fundraisers with a fabulous New Years Eve Dinner & Dance: after an excellent three course feast, we got our groove on, rolled back the carpet and partied like it was nearly 2025 before tuning in to the London Embankment to count the New Year in! Thanks to Geoff and the team, and to all for helping raise almost £400 for Keevil Roots – what a fabulous night!
