A Midsummer Day in Keevil, with Open Gardens
What a fantastic day! SEE THE BIG THANK YOU here…
Saturday 21st June 2025 11am-4pm
There will be 10 gardens open altogether. Visitors will have a map and list of all of the gardens open to view. We are most grateful to the owners of these gardens. There will be some side stalls in some of the gardens including a plant sale, face painting for children, handmade art cards and second-hand tools. An adult trail and children’s trail is also planned.
In the church there will be Bell Ringing demonstrations plus Tower Talks and a chance to try ringing a bell for yourself with the help of an experienced ringer; floral displays, tea, coffee and cakes, luxury hamper raffle, display of children’s miniature gardens competition entries* (see below) and history tours.
At the village hall there will be a wider selection of refreshments – sandwiches, full afternoon teas, cream teas, savoury scones, teas and soft drinks as well as a bottle tombola.
Open garden tickets will be on sale in both St Leonard’s Church and in the village hall. Cash or card payments acceptable. Adults £7.50 each with children under the age of 16 being free of charge.
This event will be raising vital funds for St Leonard’s Church.
*The miniature gardens competition is free to enter. There will be four separate age groups as follows:- Pre-school age; age 5-8; age 9-11 (up to year 6) ; and age 12-16. Entries should be on round or square trays or shallow containers no larger than 39 cm diameter. Entries to be brought to the church porch by 12.30 pm. and registered. Judging will take place during the day and prizes awarded in all four age groups.
Where To Park: by kind permission of Alex and Juliette Goodwin, FREE car parking will be available in The Glebe field next to the church – NO DOGS PLEASE!
We are most grateful to everyone who has already offered to help on the day. If anyone would like to bake a cake or small cakes for this exciting event, please speak to one of the people mentioned below. Offers of help on the day, selling the garden tickets, raffle tickets, serving refreshments or car park duties are also welcomed. Do get in touch if you are keen to take part in any way.
