Free emergency poop bag scheme…

Having discussed the effectiveness of their scheme with volunteers in Steeple Ashton, Keevil volunteers started our own scheme in April 2024. The Parish Council supports with funds for the provision of poop bags, and there are now seven dispensers deployed:

  1. By the waste bin next to the Recreation Ground;
  2. On the waste bin next to the bus stop opposite Field Head on Main Street;
  3. On the 30mph sign on Main Street;
  4. On the waste bin on Towmead Lane;
  5. At the end of Martins Lane;
  6. At the end of Martins Road;
  7. The gate behind the Church.

With the help of dog-owning volunteers, these are kept filled up, but if you come across an empty dispenser, please be patient as they will be refilled soon or give Andrea a call on 07909 614859 to let her know one is empty. Please only take one or two bags at a time. They are there in case you have forgotten your own when you set out to walk your dog, so please avoid the temptation to remove the whole roll – yes, this does seem to happen from time to time.

Help keep Keevil’s footpaths, verges, the churchyard and surrounding fields poop free!

With thanks to The Underdogs Show for helping us to get the message home!
