BUZZ ROUNDUP

BEEWelcome back to the BUZZ Roundup – keeping you in touch with village matters during these extraordinary times.

Father’s Day cards…

Fed up with supermarket cards? Rachel Howe has a whole bunch of Father’s Day cards that were donated for the Church Fete years ago, there were so many she didn’t quite sell out. Whatever you donate for a card or two will of course go to St Leonard’s Church funds

She will leave them on the white bench outside Little Martins, 69a Martins Road every day from Monday 1st June until Saturday 20th June (Father’s Day is 21st) 10 am – 5 pm, providing it’s not raining, or until they’re all sold.

Music at the Manor 2018-1515
Music at the Manor 2018
Music at the Manor: Saturday 11th July 2020

The Fun Committee hopes that Music@Manor20 will still be able to go ahead if COVID-19 restrictions are eased in time to permit the event, albeit with the smaller High Octave Jazz Band, and some form of social-distancing in place. Any Government announcement is not expected until much nearer the date but arrangements are being worked on with all fingers crossed! More detail on the village website here, where further announcements will also be posted, and of course Buzzed!

Due to the uncertainty, tickets won’t actually go on sale till the end of June, but you can reserve tickets now by contacting Pat Tucker (01380 871601). Prices will be £15 per person, children 16 and under go FREE.

  1. Hi Sarah Just to say that the Public forum is taking place albeit in the online form by the Clerk reading the Submissions from residents. This is in line with the process adopted by Wiltshire Council for online planning meetings during the current situation. Also all local elections Including Casual Vacancies have been cancelled until further notice. Wiltshire Council will inform us when this changes.

Would you Kindly resend this Buzz so that our residents have the full picture please.

    Many thanks Take care

    1. Hi Suzanne, thanks so much for getting in touch. There is no Public Forum on the agenda for the meeting, which there usually is on Parish Council Agendas, so I’m going to email you before issueing a further Buzz, just to make sure it’s clear. Sx

  2. Hi Suzanne, I have seen the agenda and agree with Sarah that it doesn’t mention a Public Forum. Wouldn’t it be more appropriate for the PC to reissue the agenda because as it stands, the buzz is correct ? Regards Bob
